Sarah and Dr. Ernest Butler

Dr. Ernest Butler is Board Chair of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and active board member for 25 years. The Butler Pops Series and Butler Texas Young Composer’s Concerts resulted from endowment gifts to the symphony. 

Sarah Butler is Board Chair of Ballet Austin. The UT Butler School of Music and Butler Opera Center receive support for training of professional musicians. Austin Opera and Houston Grand Opera are important recipients as well as the Texas Cultural Trust. Mr. and Mrs. Butler were recipients of the Individual Arts Patron award in 2011 during the Trust’s biennial Texas Medal of Arts Awards.

Dr. Butler serves on the board of the Texas Cultural Trust.
